Setup steps:

• Create an account with email, Apple, or Google login.
• Allow camera and gallery permissions for uploads.
• Enable location access for nearby restaurant suggestions.
• Complete your taste profile to personalize recommendations.

• Upload clips that show signage, menus, or distinctive decor.
• Keep at least 2–3 seconds of steady footage without heavy filters.
• Include captions or on-screen text if available—the AI reads them.
• Use HD uploads; avoid screenshots with heavy compression.

The AI breaks longer clips into scenes, tagging each potential location. If multiple restaurants are detected, you'll see ranked matches with timestamps so you can jump to the relevant moment.

You can manually confirm the correct match to improve future accuracy.

We store anonymized query metadata (upload type, city, device) to improve accuracy. Media is encrypted in transit and deleted automatically after processing unless you save it to your account.

You can delete saved uploads anytime from Settings → Privacy → Manage uploads.

Yes. Use keyword search (e.g., “ramen in Tokyo” or “vegan brunch”) and combine it with an upload for higher precision. Your dietary preferences in Settings are applied automatically to filter results.

• Videos: MP4 and MOV up to 200 MB.
• Images: JPEG and PNG up to 30 MB.
• Frame rate: We recommend 24–60 fps for the best recognition.

If uploads fail, compress slightly or trim to the key scene before retrying.

1. Copy the share link from TikTok or Instagram.
2. Open NomNomad → tap Upload → choose Paste link.
3. We fetch the clip, extract key frames, and run recognition automatically.
4. Save the identified restaurant to your collections or map view.

If the platform blocks downloads, screen record a 5–10 second clip and upload the recording instead.

Uploads use your current network connection. Enable Wi‑Fi only uploads in Settings to avoid using cellular data. When enabled, the app queues uploads until you are on Wi‑Fi.

1. Go to Settings → Security.
2. Select Reset password to receive a secure email link.
3. To switch providers, link Google/Apple under Linked accounts, then set it as your primary login.

If you no longer have access to your email, contact support with a billing receipt or previous device ID to verify ownership.

• Notification controls: Settings → Notifications to mute promotions, set quiet hours, or enable only reservation alerts.
• Privacy controls: Settings → Privacy to disable location history, clear search history, or export your data.
• Data deletion: Request full deletion from Settings → Privacy → Delete account; we remove all personal data within 30 days.

Subscriptions are managed by your app store:

• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → NomNomad.
• Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → NomNomad.

On the web, open Settings → Billing to update cards, download invoices, or cancel. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.

• Check connectivity or switch to Wi‑Fi.
• Keep the app open until the upload completes.
• Trim clips over 200 MB or reduce 4K bitrate.
• Ensure storage space is available for processing.

If issues persist, send the clip, device model, and OS version to support@nomnomad.ai for investigation.

1. Open the result → tap More → Report mismatch.
2. Select the correct venue or choose “Not listed” and add details.
3. We retrain the model with your feedback within 24–48 hours.

Frequent contributors receive early access to new features.

Yes. Enable Offline packs in Settings to download maps and saved restaurants. Recognition still requires connectivity, but you can queue uploads offline and they will process automatically once you're back online.
